A powerful prayer that we offer each year as a diocesan family is the Respect for Life Mass, which will be held at the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St, St. Catharines, on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, Friday, March 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., Bishop Gerard Bergie presiding.

To help the people of Ukraine suffering and displaced in this war: - To make a financial contribution through Saint Patrick church, cheques should be made payable to Saint Patrick parish with "Ukraine" clearly marked in the memo. E-transfers can be sent to [email protected], again with "Ukraine" clearly marked in the memo. Funds thus collected will be forwarded to the diocese, which will send all collected monetary donations to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA). - Donations can also be made directly for this or other areas of need through CNEWA’s website at https://cnewa.org/ca/donate. - St. John the Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. Catharines is also collecting essential supplies to send to Ukraine. The 40 Days for Life prayer vigil runs from Ash Wednesday, March 2 – April 10, 2022 on the sidewalk outside Greater Niagara General Hospital on Portage Road.
