Annual Respect for Life Mass

A powerful prayer that we offer each year as a diocesan family is the Respect for Life Mass, which will be held at the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, 3 Lyman St, St. Catharines, on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord, Friday, March 25, 2022 at 7:00 p.m., Bishop Gerard Bergie presiding.

All are welcome to attend as we pray for a greater respect for life from conception to natural death.

Help for the People of Ukraine

We continue to pray for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Ukraine.

To help the people of Ukraine suffering and displaced in this war:
- To make a financial contribution through Saint Patrick church, cheques should be made payable to Saint Patrick parish with "Ukraine" clearly marked in the memo. E-transfers can be sent to [email protected], again with "Ukraine" clearly marked in the memo. Funds thus collected will be forwarded to the diocese, which will send all collected monetary donations to the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA).
- Donations can also be made directly for this or other areas of need through CNEWA’s website at https://cnewa.org/ca/donate.
- St. John the Theologian Ukrainian Catholic Church of St. Catharines is also collecting essential supplies to send to Ukraine. A list of items most requested can be found on their website along with item drop off information: https://www.stjohnuc.com.

The annual gala to benefit the Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education takes place Friday, May 20, 2022 at the Club Roma Event & Conference Centre.

The Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education is a registered charitable foundation that supports the Niagara Catholic District School Board with a mission to promoting excellence in academic and religious studies and to encourage students to achieve the highest level of success in the academic, social, college and skills programs within a Catholic-centered environment.
