​Hello, I’m Brother Michael Joyce...coming to you on this Good Shepherd Sunday. Christ often uses this image of the Shepherd and us as the sheep. This is an important image because the shepherd does many different things:
- the shepherd brings people together as a community,
- the shepherd leads the sheep, the flock, to greener pastures to be fed,
- the shepherd protects from those evils and those dangers in the world.

Throughout my life I’ve had many different shepherds who have done that to me. And l realize that they have helped me to become a better version of myself. Who has helped you become a better version of you? Helped you to grow and to love? Encourage and pray for those in your life who have helped you become who you are; those who will make you holier so that the rest of us can help make the world holier...

Given the latest provincial restrictions, beginning Monday, April 19th, we are back to 10 people maximum in the church, including the presider. Advance sign-up will be required by calling the parish office Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. - noon.
 
We ask parishioners not to sign up for all 5 daily Masses, or for every weekend Mass. It is nice to give others an opportunity to attend, especially if Mass is being celebrated for a deceased family member.

The chancery for the Diocese of Saint Catharines has sent a memorandum indicating confirmations scheduled between April 8th and May 31st are postponed. Rescheduling will be discussed with pastors as soon as possible. Also, First Communion celebrations scheduled in April and until May 31st for classes are postponed indefinitely. Pastors may consult with parents/guardians and have candidates celebrate their First Communion at a Sunday Mass with their family.

Position Available at St. Patrick Parish: Parish Accounting Secretary

With one of our secretaries moving in June, St. Patrick's is looking to hire a Parish Accounting Secretary.

This position will be Permanent-Part Time (three days a week). On-the-job extensive training will be provided by our current accounting secretary, commencing May 25, 2021.

Applicant must be proficient in SAGE software, Excel, Word and bookkeeping; must have excellent organization skills, supervisory skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and be able to meet deadlines.
