October is dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary. This is primarily due to the fact that the liturgical feast of Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated on October 7th. It was instituted to honour the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church in answer to the praying of the Rosary by the faithful. During this month, let us consider this beautiful prayer as a means we can use in order to draw closer to Jesus and Mary by meditating on the great mysteries of our salvation.
The Rosary is prayed at St. Patrick every morning before the 8:00 a.m. Mass starting at 7:30 a.m.
Each Wednesday during the month of October, at 6:00 p.m. our Catholic Women's League will lead us in praying the Holy Rosary in the parish hall.
During the month of October, the Knights of Columbus, Council 1652, will be conducting the Living Rosary every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in their downstairs lounge at 6101 North Street, Niagara Falls. Everyone is welcome; coffee and light refreshments will follow the Rosary prayers.
